DAY-1

  1. Inauguration – Presentation of the course, 
    what will be covered and what is expected.
  2. What is MFP ( not a work/step to step description)
  3. Ocular defects
    Ocular prosthesis, types and cases.
  4. Manufacturing of ocular prosthesis, step by step.
  5. Tools and materials.

DAY-2

  • Ocular, impression, duplication, wax pattern – Demo
    Hands on
  • Ocular, wax pattern try out, iris adjustments and position – Demo
    Hands on
  • Ocular, pressing of ocular base/sclera – Demo
    Hands on
  • Paint and Colour selection, mixing and molypoly/UV
    Demo- trimming

DAY-3

  • Painting demo
  • Hands-on painting
  • Demo clear pressing
  • Hands-on clear pressing
  • Obturators, expanders and other MFP constructions
  • De-flask.
  • Group assignment/discussion – Trouble shooting. Why does it look like this?
  • How to avoid and/or correct

  • Silicone prosthesis – application, defects of
    the face and soft tissue replacement
  • Silicone prosthesis – manufacturing start to finish.
  • Silicone prosthetic materials.

  • Wax try, correction and finishing demo

  • Deflasking, trimming and Troubleshooting – group discussion
